The Department of Computer Science and Applications was established in the year 2012 to offer BSc Computer Science. In the next year an additional degree course BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) was also started. Both the programs are as per the curriculum of University of Kerala.

The Department of Computer Science and Applications aims to be a to be a front runner for providing quality human resource in the Information Technology and related areas for meeting IT industry requirements.

• Provide high quality teaching and learning environment to students so that they get expertise in modern software tools and to cater to the real time requirements of the industry.
• To inculcate problem solving and team building skills and promote lifelong learning with a sense of societal and ethical responsibilities.

• To offer additional courses in the emerging areas in IT for the benefit of students so that they are up to date with the current industry needs.

Message from HOD

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Applications. The Department was established in 2012. The Department aims at providing high quality IT education and practical training for the undergraduate students in the dynamic and rapidly changing science and technical field. Through our BCA and BSc Computer Science course we teach our students all essential core subjects which are needed to develop the IT skills of students to equip them to become modern day Software Programmers or Developers. The courses offered focuses on imparting skills in all modern IT domains like Data Analytics, Python, Cyber Security, AI & Knowledge Management, IoT, and all other essential Programming Languages like C++, Java, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, Open Office etc. Experienced and competent faculty are our assets. Our students are consistently placed in MNCs like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and other Kerala based IT companies. Our track record places us among the best in Computer Applications education in this state. I am confident that the students of the department would justify the credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in the IT field.
